Why does a feather fall slower than a coin?
Great question! In air both feel two forces — gravity pulling down and air resistance pushing up. A feather has a huge surface area for its tiny mass, so air resistance is almost as big as gravity → nearly cancels out → it floats down. Want to try the experiment in vacuum next? 🧪
